Visual Basic is now installed on your computer, and you have also started Visual Basic. Before coding in Visual Basic, some information should be known about Visual Basic, so let us tell a little about the data types of Visual Basic.

The way to define variables in Visual Basic is as follows

Dim numCount As Integer

Here numCount is a variable, and Integer is a data type, here it can be said that numCount is an integer type variable.

Here we are giving a list of some data types which are used in Visual Basic.
Byte:           1 byte
Boolean:     2 bytes
Integer:       2 bytes
Long (long integer):     4 bytes
Decimal:     14 bytes
Date:     8 bytes
String:   10 bytes + string length

What is the Variable of Visual Basic 6.0(VB 6.0)

Variable is a type of container that stores values of different data types. Meaning if you create a variable of Integer type, then it cannot enter the value of string or any other data type directly, only the value of Integer type can be entered in it.

Dim numCount As Integer

Here numCount is an integer type variable, it can only assign values of integer type.

Dim strvalue As String

Here you can assign strvalue which is a variable which is of type string and only value of string type can be assigned to this type of variable.

In the above image 1, a sign named A will be made with the help of which you can make a label, and next to it ab will be written, a text box can be made from it. ab i.e. just below the text box is the command button.
